Pray for Bin Ladin

By Thomas Courtney.

"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:27-28)

All the world, listen to this! Pray now for Mr. Osama bin Laden and the terrorists of this world. Let's keep our theology correct. God hates what they did, but God still loves even Osama bin Laden.

Let's hate very, very, ever so much what they do, but, remembering our own faults, what did God say do for our enemies?

Hating people is not correct religion and may be Mr. bin Laden's and the other terrorists' greatest fault. Let's not fall err to what we so much despise, even at this time when we are so terribly stung - wounded, bleeding and hurt.

Let's not just talk about being better; let's not just shout about being a great nation; let's quietly and in the intense scrutiny of laying our consciences bare before God, let's be that great people; let's simply be that great nation, and do it before Him and for His glory.

Then what we have quietly done behind personal and closed doors, God will know.

And let us never forget, it is God, and not ourselves, with all our great wealth and power, that writes our destiny our future history on this planet and our eternal destiny as well.

Especially our eternal destinies. A song says "Look deep into the eyes of Jesus and the things of earth will become strangely dim, in the light of his wondrous way."

God is still on the throne. This writer is a believer. I was not so all my life, but I share my testimony with you. God gave me faith one day, quite suddenly and when I was very much not seeking him.

Actually I was always searching for God: I just couldn't find him But one day he found me.

Everyone of faith that I have ever spoken to, or have ever even heard of, will tell you the same thing. Couldn't find God; but, praise God, he found me.

"You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." (Matthew 5:3-45)
